SPEAR MINT

KSh200

Spearmint is similar to peppermint, although spearmint plants have vibrant bright green leaves that are pointed, compared to the dark smaller green leaves of a peppermint plant. When planted in ideal conditions, spearmint can grow up to two feet in width and length. Mint plants thrive in a well-drained but moist soil in partial to full sunlight. This is a resemblance to their native growing conditions along river banks.

Spearmint is frequently used to reduce the effects of irritable bowel syndrome, motion sickness, hiccups and nausea as well as other ailments.

Therefore Spear mint can grow well and thrive in the ground but will take over the garden if it is not maintained, thus advised to grow in pots where they can be tamed.
