Flat Leaf Parsley, also known as Italian Parsley has strong flavoured leaves that make it the parsley associated with Italian dishes. Flat-leaf parsley has serrated leaves and a clean, slightly peppery taste. Its flavour is stronger than that of its ruffled cousin, Curly Leaf Parsley.
The leaves are great fresh or dried, but we prefer using it fresh. Benefits of flat leaf parsley include vitamins and minerals such as potassium, iron, copper and manganese.
In a small kitchen garden, flat leaf parsley goes very well with other garnishes. Plant it with Onion Chives, Coriander and Curly Parsley for a delicious Garnish Garden.
