LEMON GRASS

Lemon grass is a perennial citrus flavoured herb which part of the grass family. Lemon Grass is used for flavouring teas and frequently in Oriental cuisines. It’s an easy growing herb and needs lots of sunlight and good moisture in the soil thus can grow well in the ground as well as in a pot.

Lemon grass is also used to repel mosquitos with its strong presence of citronella. Similar to Lemon balm, the leaves of lemon grass can be rubbed on your skin as a natural mosquito repellent.

Lemon grass has many health benefits from having antibacterial properties, promoting hair health, helping menstrual cramps, and aiding in pain and insomnia as well as being used commercially for the extraction of citronella oil used famously in cosmetics.
